How do you feel about a FAQ? I've read the earlier postings, and I clearly see the desire, and I've searched (or tried to search)the archives and know how much easier it would be to have a FAQ.
This could be done with a small group of "assemblers" and the existing group of "contributors" (read:subject matter experts). I would be willing to head up the group of "assemblers", putting the actual doc together.
When a "subject matter expert" answers a question on the board, they could add a "this is a great topic for the FAQ" note, and maybe even forward it to a email address like "faq@ncrs.org". Some of you who have been around quite a while could probably spout off a number of topics that would be useful to have in the FAQ (and probably make it quicker to become useful too)
This wouldn't happen overnight, or even over a week or two. It could take months, or even years to make it effective, but it won't happen at all unless we start. As for updating it, I don't think this would be THAT significant of a task... after all, frequently we're talking about cars that are 20-40 years old!
