    GAS CAP LID RESTORER?

    Hey Guys,

    I recently bought an original gas cap lid for our 67. It is in great shape, however, it is the wrong color. How do I go about having this cap restored w/o destroying the originality? The lid is currently silver and needs to be black. Thanks for the help.

      67 gas caps weren't black but rather silver cad in color. mike

          Sorry for the confusion, I am referring to the gas cap lid COVER. It is painted the same color as the rest of the car

              67 gas doors get painted body exterior color. mike

                  The question is ..what is the correct way to restore the lid? how is it painted ...how are the flags painted?
