    C2 tail light cork gaskets

    Members,
    Does anyone know of a source for original cork tail light gaskets? I checked a couple of sources and theirs were made of black foam.

    I'm also questioning if there is a gasket between the license light housing and the aluminum bezel on a '65? Some catalogues have them listed, but the AIM and the Judging Manual does not show or discuss a gasket.

      I got real cork gaskets for my 65 from Volunteer Vette in TN. WEB site is volvette.com

          LP gasket S/B white foam rubber. Check the Driveline for vendor.

              Thank you for your Email reply to my question about the license plate gasket. To clarify, I am looking for the gasket that is used between the license plate assembly and the aluminum bezel.

              When you speak of a LP white foam gasket, I think of the gasket between the license plate light lens and the license plate light body. I have the white foam gasket that I think you are referring to.

                  How long ago did you get the cork gaskets from Volunteer? I called them this morning and they told me that the current gaskets are made from black foam.

                      I am sorry I was wrong. I got the cork gaskets from Corvette Central, it was November 02, the part # is 371213. By the way they sell the License Light to body gasket, but I can't be sure it was there from the factory.

                          Thank you for your Email and information about the cork gaskets.

                          The license light to body gasket has me wondering. The assembly manual does not show a gasket and the judging manual does not have any info. about it either. Perhaps there never was a gasket. I seems like there would be one rather than having metal to metal contact.
