In the AIM it says the voltage regulator should have a ground on the side but the is no wire on mine. I am redoing all the wiring, should I add this and if so how? Also where does the condenser for the regulator bolt to? Does anyone have a few good digital pics of the engine bay with all the different sides? I have the AIM and Noland Adams resto book but the pics are a little hard to see in black and white. Can anyone help?

Re: '67 volt. reg. wiring and ground question?
Boston,
I just looked at my '65 that has never been apart. Assuming that the '67 is the same, here is what I found.
There is a small black ground wire that goes from the top screw of the voltage regulator to the screw that mounts the horn relay. That horn relay terminal also has a large black ground wire connected to it.
The condenser body strap is connected to the same hex head screw that the small black ground wire (mentioned above) is connected to. The center lead of the condenser is connected with a plug in terminal on the voltage regular near the bottom, on the engine side of the regulator.
Hope I've done an OK job of explaining.
Good luck,
Gene- Top

Re: '67 volt. reg. wiring and ground question?
Boston,
You should have a black lead coming from the harness in the same area as the alternator wires originate. This black wire along with the condensor attatch in the hole on the side of the regulator frame with a screw. The black wire from the condensor plugs into the terminal on the bottom of the regulator. Hope this helps.- Top

Try the link below - numerous photos of '67 wiring taken at Hershey - some are Bowtie cars, some are Flight cars.

John, the smallblock with the unpainted hood hinge cross cable, was that a restored or Bowtie car, and if Bowtie do you know if an AO Smith or St Louis build body?Bill Clupper #618- Top

I don't recall - didn't make any notes as I was shooting - just wanted general references for routing/strapping; the red car with the rusty master cylinder and cap was a Bowtie car.- Top
