According to the GM Specification package and a dealer price book dated 9-21-72 the TM400 option on a L-82 cost $97 and the base Corvette T-Top was $5561.50.
In the spring of 1973 the base cost had risen to $5634.50 based on a copy of a window sticker that I have seen. Was this cost for inflation/GM cost increases or because the TM400 was now a no cost option. This increase,$73.00, appears to be the invoice price of the $97 charge for the optional TM400 at the start of the model year.
In trying to document the original cost of my Corvette, based on information from the original sales invoice, if I exclude the $97 for the TM400 and use the $5634.50 for the base vehicle, I get the cost listed on the sales invoice to match my numbers.
Does anyone out there have a window sticker from a late 1973 Corvette with an optional engine and a TM400 showing the charge for the automatic transmission?
Thanks
Roger
