I have a bent rear spring on my 1959. I was thinking of installing the rear spring kit from Corvette Central while having the originals either repaired or replaced. Has anyone used these. Comments or suggestions are always greatly appreciated.

Re: C1 Rear Springs
Gary: if you're referring to the rear spring liners for a c-2, vet products of michigan supplied mine several years ago. they were nearly identical to the originals. CC may get them from vet pro of mi. good luck, mike- Top

Re: C1 Rear Springs
Mike; CC has a kit that includes the springs, hangers, bushings and all the hardware to install. I was curious as to whether anyone has used these and if they are worth using over the 40yr old ones as to ride, safety etc.- Top

To repair the original spring, they must be dissasembled, annealed, arched, and heat treated. Cold re-arching dosn't hold up. Assemble with new liners and bands. Top leaf silver, others black. Then overspray with chassis black, quickly, as though you were spraying the chassis in a hurry.- Top
