    Fan Shroud seals 1968

    Gentlemen,
    For a 68 with 327/350 horsepower with A/C:
How many seals are there between the fan shroud and the radiator and where specifically are they located?
I have all the radiator to radiator support seals but thought there is only ONE for the shroud to radiator however the Judging Manual refers to seals (plural) and my various aftermarket vendor catalogs or the Assembly Manual don't seem to show the shroud seals or their location and how many there are.
    Thanks for any help,
    Kurt 26406

My air 68 has ONE at the top rad. area stapled to a retainer held on by four bolts to block air from the hood.

      Kurt:

Was going over posts I missed over the past few weeks and saw yours.

Dr. Rebuild has a pretty good detail page on all the radiator seals, it looks like he has them pretty well nailed.

I have a 68 that I needed some for also.

        Rich,
I have the Dr. Rebuild catalog and purchased all the seals from him.
No problem between radiator and radiator support (4 seals) but can't figure out placement of the seals between the radiator and the shroud. I bought 3 different seals. I read somewhere that there is only supposed to be one at the top of the shroud and against the radiator, but the catalog lists lower shroud front and rear(?) also.
I'm confused and need to refer to someone who has a 68 with a/c and the original seals still in place so I can use that as a reference. Due to the A/C, the 327 uses the same seals as the 427. I didn't know that an d so now I have a set of 327 seals that I don't need. Maybe I can figure it out this weekend by installing all the components and then seeing where the gaps are and assume that's where the seals should go. Just hate to do it wrong and rip it all out again.

Kurt, I just read your posting. I'm pretty sure my '68 327 with A/C has the original seals in place. I'll check tomorrow, see what I find, then post the results.
