      General Question Re: AIM's

This doesn't relate specifically to Donald's request, but to AIM's in general. My 68 AIM has alot of missing data, probably a result of copying, etc. Do AIM's from different suppliers (mine is from Mid-America) contain the same missing info? Or are some AIM's more legible than others?

Donald, I'm looking forward to the 69 AIM Access database. Thanks in advance!

        Re: General Question Re: AIM's

The AIM's that MA were given to copy, by GM, were literally piled on the floor in the GM photographic basement and had been abused and missused and basically ignored. The quality of the reprints went down hill from there with each recopying resulting in said POOR quality reprints and missing sheets. Initially Mid America was the only company given the AIMs but they did not have exclusive use of them and therefore anyone else could and did reprint them from MA's copy.

          Re: General Question Re: AIM's

Art, thanks for the info. So I take it that since Mid-America has/had the "master" copy, other sources, such as the NCRS bookstore, won't have any better AIM's than I already have?

            Re: General Question Re: AIM's

As the old saying goes---never say never!!

I personally have not reviewed all the "other sources" AIM's and can't speak for or against them. However, it is almost a daily occurance, on this and other forums, that people need clarification of their AIM's.

In my opinion, the answer to your question is probably.
