Whenever I step on the brake or put the turn signal on, the needle on the fuel gauge starts fluctuating ... continuously with the brake and intermittently with the turn signal. The tech support guy at Lectric Limited says this is typical for midyears due to the common ground. I never noticed this before and the needle wildly - pegging itself every cycle. Anybody else experience this and have a suggestion for a fix?

Check the ground connector at the fuel sending unit on the bottom of the tank and make sure both sides of it (sender terminal and harness connector) are clean and making good contact. If that doesn't cure it, check continuity of the 16-ga. black wire at the end of the body connector above the kickpad; the ground for everything at the rear of the body comes all the way forward through that wire into a splice in the harness and grounds both at the radio ground eyelet with a screw and to the cluster ground spade. If that doesn't do it, run a dedicated ground from the sender to the frame.- Top
