stamp on top of engine

I am looking at a 69 427 that has a stamp and date code on the top of the engine. It is located on the driver rear side (on top). What is the code?

Sounds like you're reading something off the intake manifold, but your description is vauge as well as where you want to go with the subject. If you're trying to determine factory originality of the engine, it's a bigger project than reading one number. Virtually every key component has a 'correct' part number/casting number as well as date coding. So, you've got to go slow, one piece at a time, know what you're looking for, where to look, and how to read/decipher what's there.
