Re: N.C. classic plates or antique
Eric, You can get an Antique Auto plate for your car if it is 35 years old or older for an extra $10 per yer. There are also many other style NC plates available and you can check them out at http://www.dmv.dot.state.nc.us/ Another option is the NC house bill #704 which allows a year of manufacture plate to be used as long as the vehicle is 35 years old or older and the regular license plate is carried inside the vehicle. I have a 1964 NC plate on my 64 coupe and the regular NC plate in my glove box. Ive had several NC police behind me and Ive never been questioned about it. It also saves you $10, over the Antique plate, that you can use to buy more Corvette parts! Don- Top

Re: N.C. classic plates or antique
Hi Eric,
I am from Winston-Salem and let me be the first to welcome you to our area. You will find this area a great place to live as well as raising children. There are several Corvette Clubs here and are always welcoming new members. Now as for your question, antique plates are a option, but buying a vintage plate is the best option and it does save you the addition fees associated with an antique plate. Feel free to email me with any questions you may have about the local area or any of the Corvette Clubs.
Best wishes,
