When I connect the battery cable to the battery the first contact gives off a large spark then diminishes to a smaller spark. My first thought is the clock, but I have not done any checking as of yet. I planned on introducing a VOM between the battery cable and post. Then hopefully by pulling fuses I can identify the circuit and ultimately fix my problem. Anybody had this, any ideas?

On my 64 I have accidentally left the ignition switch in the ACC position and ended up killing the battery. It's easy to do when you turn the car off by reaching through the driver window. Just a thought.- Top
