In the center back stowage compartment of my 1970 convertible there are two female plugs. One is attached to a wire lead that looks like it may be a ground and the other is empty. What should be plugged into it. Is it for a light? Thanks for the help. I could not find it in the Assembly Manual.

Re: C3 Electrical Question
The center storage box should have a light. GM service replacement boxes (when they were still availabe) did not come with the lens cover. This is why you do not see indications of a lamp. Reproduction boxes come with the lens attached. Switches/lamp socket are available also from repro suppliersDick Whittington- Top

Re: C3 Electrical Question
Hey, Dick, welcome back!
A little add-on here. Because the center storage compartment liner was non-conductive, flocked, fibre board its glove box light needed two wires (power and return ground). Why they opted to build the harness with two separate in-line connectors instead of a single, dual terminal, connector remains a mystery to me....- Top
