My recently purchaced 60 has carpeting installed under the seats and carpet padding behind the seat backs. Was there anything installed there originally or was it just bare fiberglass? Was it painted? If so what color. Is there a published source for this information? Thank you in advance for any information.

Re: C-1 interior question
The judging manual will be a valuable tool for impproving your new vet.you can order from ncrs in cincinnatti, ohio. see home page. no rugs on the bulkhead behind the seats. rugs on a 57 and i assume a 60 end just under the front edge of the seats.good luck, mike- Top

Re: C-1 interior question
Wally...
The back of the seats is bare fiberglass (no carpet) and painted down from the gas tank cover, (if installed, the soft top brackets) and the glove box. The fiberglass under the seats is completely bare, except for overspray from painting the glove box etc.- Top

Re: C-1 interior question
All of the above is true.
Now, for a question. What is your intention for the car? Do you plan to go through the NCRS judging process? If so, make it as correct as you can.
If not NCRS judging, and you plan to drive it a lot, especially long distances, insulation of any kind under and behind the seat will make the trip more enjoyable; cooler in the summer, warmer in the winter, quieter all the time.
In preparation for the 50th Caravan drive from Oklahome to Nashville/Bowling Green, I installed insulation far up the firewall, under the carpets all the way back and up behind the seats. I also installed it inside the doors and behind the kick panels. Made for a more enjoyable 1600 miles.
