For medical reasons I would like to install head rests in my 67 coupe. Several people sell adapters etc. to make the conversion, including Al Knock, Corvette Central, and others. Although the installation will only be as good as the welds does anyone have any experience with the adapters. I need to make sure the passenger side installation is structurally sound. Any and all comments are appreciated.

John, I believe head rests were an option in some of the C2's. Perhaps you can purchase a set of original seats backs with the headrests in place. Save a lot of work.

------I can appreciate Charlies statement about extra work, but by the time you find headrest backs, and have them recovered, you could have 5 sets of headrest units installed. There are only three short stitch welds involved. You do have to strip the seat back of vinyl and foam to weld on it,but that really isnt a big deal. All you really need is a pair of hog-ring pliers,a few hog-rings,maybe new foam if you feel it needs it,and you are in business. If you add the foam you may want a qualified interior guy remove and replace the vinyl.I believe all the stuff for the conversion is available from A.Knoch.Hope this helps........Bill S
