Oil SDipstick Tube - Big Block

I am putting my BB back together and need an answer quick please. The oil dipstick tube mounts using one of the exhaust manifold bolts. Does the large washer go on the engine side of the dipstick mounting flange or on the fender side of the dipstick mounting flange.

John,I will check my 1967 big block this evening,but first impression is that washers were used only on the bolts with the french locks.....Kieran #11373

My 67 BB only has washers with the french locks, this is also what ncrs judge manual says.
