C2 1963 seat belts

My wife needs to know where the Irving Parachute patch goes on the belt buckles of our early car. I have read that it attaches above the "D" link. My question is on the top side where it shows or on the bottom out of site?

On the bottom side out of site. An interesting point that I didn't notice till I looked at mine, the tags are stitched onto the belts with white thread on the tag side and colored thread matching the webbing on the opposite side.

Bettcha the white thread on the bottom side was just dyed to match the belt after the fact....

Not to be concerned, the bottom thread comes from the bobbin. My wife has explained sewing 101 to me.
