I haven't seen many C4 posts here and the archives didn't turn up much on this topic either.
In 1994 and later? the 4L60-E transmission was used. While, I don't actually have a C4, I do have this transmission in my family hauler (93 GMC conversion van)
Coming home last night from moving daughter #1 into her college dorm, I started experiencing some eratic "bucking" at the shift points. This condition seemed to be most noticable on gradual inclines when a downshift seemed appropriate. I could manually downshift and things would smooth out.
I also noticed lagging shifts under normal acceleration. With the hammer down, it seems to shift okay.
Fluid level is normal and it doesn't smell burnt.
A cursory search on the web turned up some discussion about faulty input/ output sensors on the side of this tranny.
Does anyone have experience or advice with these problems?
thanks,
tc
