    C2 shocks

Auto Zone lists Gabriel Gas Ryder shocks as replacement equipment. Any thing wrong with these shocks for a daily driver?

      Re: C2 shocks

I too am in need of replacing shocks on my '64. All I have seen are the Delco road response. Are these different than the Reactecs? If so, in what way, and are the Reactecs only available through a GM dealer? I've looked at GM parts online, ect and have not been able to find the reactecs. Thanks Blake

The supply of Reactecs has essentially dried up. Too bad, as they were the best Corvette shock out there for 98% of us.

          Steve,
I used to work for Gabriel at their R&D center outside Chicago. By the mid 80s, their quality went into the dumpster.

I have Koni adjustables on my 67 L79.

            Check the archives

because the part numbers have changed and the Delco Road Response could be the next replacement shock. Start looking in smaller/local auto parts stores for old stock. Double-check the numbers with the shocks in the boxes, GM #22046803 front #22011967 rear, with Delco 560-50 & 560-51. - Mark
