C1 valve cover decal.

Can someone tell me where the 300 h.p. decal is supposed to be located on the valve cover? Is it centered directly below the 327 decal and where on the side of the cover? I've looked at all my books but obviously have missed it.

It isn't in the A.I.M., but there are a couple of pictures on page 366-367 of Noland's book that show the location of the decal on the passenger side valve cover of RPO 583 300hp engines.

Thanks. I don't have Noland's book. Which one and I can order it. Probably a good book to have.

You can order it direct from Noland himself, and he'll autograph it with a message if you like; about $12.00 cheaper including shipping than if you buy it from the vendors. His e-mail is nolandadams@internet49.com . He's at Carlisle this weekend with his '53, so it will be a while before he responds. Most of the Corvette resto parts houses have it too - don't know why the NCRS Store doesn't carry it any more.
