What is the proper type and amount of lubrication on a bronze pilot bushing?

I've always used white lub and just a little dab will do ya.

It's oil impregnated. Don't use any grease. The soap from the grease can clog up the pores and prevent the oil from migrating to the surface.

the one i bought from napa says it was oil impregnated right on the box. thousands of miles later, no problem. i did not add any extra lubricant. i know this was an act of great faith, but sometimes i guess you gotta have it.

Verl, it has been my experience over the years that lubricant is not necessary. Most of the bushing are of an "oilite" or simular type bushings.

I cannot remember of running into one that caused any problems

Are some "cheap" bronze bushings not oil impregnated?
