I have a new s/s front to rear brake line for a 63-64 Corvette, 65 w/standard brakes. If anyone wants it (no charge) I will be at Carlisle Thursday night and on Friday. I could bring it with me. I have a 61, it was sent to me by mistake. Let me know. Joe DeLuca

Re: FREE S/S FRONT TO REAR BRAKE LINE
In regards to Stainless Steel Brake Lines.: I was watching a friend while he was installing brake lines on a 34 Ford Hot Rod he was building. I asked why he did not use stainless steel lines and he said he read that vibration and pressure fatigued the stainless steel and it ended up cracking. Has anyone else heard this?- Top

Re: FREE S/S FRONT TO REAR BRAKE LINE
I have not heard that, but I doubt that it is true. I don't know what type of stainless the brake tubes are made of, but there are suitable alloys available. I wonder why this type of aversion to change is so prevalent in the automotive hobby. I remember reading articles about not running radial tires on old bisd ply tire cars because they transmitted too much shock and vibration to the suspension. Or the one about Halogen lights drawing too much current and the wiring would melt.- Top
