    1969 427/400 A/C

We are looking for help/guidance with the following questions. Our car is a 1969 427/400 tri-power 4-speed with factory air. We are missing the fast idle solenoid set-up that mounts to the front carb. Looking for suggestions on who might carry this. The second question involves our intake manifold vacuum fitting. It has two outlets. One goes to the power brake booster. The other is capped off. Is this the correct fitting, and if so, where does the second outlet on the passengers side go? We have the assembly manual, but it doesn't show up in clear enough detail. The third question involves the factory alarm system. We need the clip that holds the flasher, the flasher itself, and the relay. Any ideas on who would carry this? We saved the best for last. It involves the wiper motor/washer pump assembly. The pump on the drivers side has the outlet nozzles broken off. Also, if anything goes with this, it is missing also. Any ideas where to locate this? Thanks in advance for any help.

Check out www.drrebuild.com for the carb solenoid. The manifold vacuum fitting for your 4-speed car should have a nipple for the power brakes and the other one should be the vacuum supply for most everything else. This other connection should have a vacuum hose connected to it with a inline vacuum filter (white plastic with filter inside) with the rest of the hose having a metal vacuum valve with one inlet and two outlets, the bigger outlet going to the vacuum tank.

You should be planning a trip to Carlisle this weekend!

The solenoid is not a big problem, HOWEVER the bracket is unique to the tri power/ac combination. The last one that I saw for sale was about $500.00.

The relay and flasher bracket should be available from a salvage yard.

The windshield/headlamp washer parts are unique to a '69. Swap meet item, or advertise in Driveline want ads
