Re: Fiberglass crack - underneath car / drivers si

Jack, this crack can most certainly be repaired. In fact, it will relatively easy and quick repair to accomplish.

To avoid a lengthy, detailed post on exactly how the repair can be made, I will recommend that you invest in "Eckler's Complete Guide to Corvette Fiberglass Repair" sold in the NCRS store. When you are ready to undertake the repair, you should also contact The Corvette Image (see link below) for resin that is tinted the correct color for your car.

You can also do a search of the archives; a lot has been written on fiberglass repair including a few long-winded posts by myself. It's been covered in detail previously.

          Jack,
First dill a small hole at each end of the crack to impede its elongation. The hole size depends on the crack. Then follow normal fiberglass repair procedures.
          Good luck, Kent #6201
