66 Blk Pass Dash Pad Source

Does anyone know a source for an original black passenger dash pad for a 66 roadster? Looking for a good condition used pad with no cracks or major blemishes. I have tried some of the larger vendors that carry used parts and have not been able to find one. Also, what is the difference between the reproduction pads and the originals. Do the repros stand up to NCRS judging? If I were to switch to repros, what would the point deduction be if any? (note: my drivers side pad is in good condition, so I would like to keep original if possible)

The best reproduction dash pads you can buy are from Al Knoch. The main difference will be in the "grain" of the pads. The repro pads will have a discernably deeper grain (Madrid) than original pads. If you change one you MUST change both, because you will see the difference. The only other difference that I have been able to find, is in the internal skeleton: originals are sheet steel, repros are plastic.

-------Not only is the grain deeper on the Al Knochs but the leading edges on both sides are way too round.Originals are more pointed.
