    Re: Outgassing With Reproduction Panels?

About 12 years ago i got a c-2 top surround from sermesheimer and after priming and exposing to 90 deg temps in the sun , the surround developed millions of 1/64 inch blisters due to air or solvent trapped in the gelcoat. it required extensive sanding to get down under the little trouble makers and then a heavy coat of feather- fill. I've since got panels from jim that have not had the deficiency. P.S._ have never had these problems with nos GM panels for c-2s. good luck, mike
