Powerglide ID

After a long search I think I have found a powerglide for my 63. I am having trouble translating the info on the bottom of the trans pan. The following is stamped: T05 28D. The T05 is a deeper stamp then there is a space and the 28D is fine. It doesn't line up with anything I can find. The transmission is a coarse spline aluminum case powerglide with the correct tail shaft housing. It is possible that the pan is not original to the trans but it seems that something is missing in the numbers. I know the following:
T = Toledo
28 = day of month
D = Day shift

I believe the "05" signifies the month of May.

Bob,
There isn't anything missing in the numbers. You left off the "05". That's May. Hope the dates work out ok for you. The Toledo made 'glides were the heavier duty versions (the only ones correct for your Vette). Passenger cars with 327s and the 340hp 409 also had Toledo units. 283s received a Cleveland built unit. (same numbering scheme, but beginning with "C")
