1972 Corvette LS5 plug fouling question

Just got my LS5 engine rebuilt to stock specs except for a bump in compression to 9.5-1. Stock cam, carb, everything. 50 test miles on engine and I have fouled the #6 plug twice. Not fuel or oil fouled but black carbon. Other plugs are lightly carboned. I have AC 44t plugs in along with a new cap, rotor, points, wires and condensor. Are the plugs to cold? ANY suggestions? THanks, John

    Jon,

I'd try an R45TS which is hotter and has an extended tip(S). There is a good chance that it will solve your problem.

make sure the plug wire is all the way into the distributor cap and also check it with a ohm meter to make sure that the wire is good.
