1959 Windshield Wiper Cable Repair

I need a schematic on the location of the four cables from the wiper arms to the wiper motor transmission cable reel. All four are off of the reel, but still on the wiper arms reels, left and right. The motor reel is in the REST position. The coupler between the motor and reel plate is in the UP position according to the "UP" stamped on the coupler. This is correct I hope.

You'll find many good articles on this subject in past issues of NCRS Restorer Magazine and if you have the Complete Restorer CD ROM, simply do a search. One of these early articles is reprinted in Noland Adam's Complete Corvette Restoration & Technical Guide, Vol 1 at the end of the '56-57 section (page 204)....

Paul - Not a schematic, but an article by Mike Ernst appeared in the Restorer, Vol 7, #3. It gives a verbal direction on cable rigging, as well as design functions of the transmission "spools". Also check the restorer CD for another article on wiper transmissions in Vol 20, #2. Good luck...Dick
