transmission linkage for a '57

Hi- I'm having a problem purchasing the transmission linkage for a '57 powerglide.
After waiting 4 weeks, "Dr. Rebuild" can't get one either!!!
It seems that no one is reproducing it anymore.
I've tried quite a few vendors with no results-
Any suggestions???

Did you try Mary Jo @ (858) 451-1933? She usually has stuff like that.

Which linkage do you need? The linkage to the shifter or the one to the carb kickdown?

As I remember the shift linkage is just a rod, threaded on the ends, with a clevice on both ends. You could make one or have one made fairly easily. I could probably make a drawing of mine if you need to have one made.

You can make the kickdown linkage from a car or pickup work on the Corvette. Modifications will depend on the intake manifold that you have - FI, 1X4, or 2X4.

I purchased the "kickdown" for my 1X4 setup.
I need the linkage that goes from the shifter to the transmission.
I need the exact dimensions & a drawing would be great!!!

YES, I tried MaryJO over a year ago when I purchased the shifter from her & she still can't get one. Corvette Central and Dr. Rebuild also show it on their catalog- I bought one only to wait for weeks empty handed.

I'm either going to have to find a used one BUT I think I'll have better luck making my own!!
