lloyd: no such thing as "survivor" in NCRS. Survivor is bloomington gold. NCRS uses term Bowtie for unrestored vets. Take the 66 to a chapter or better yet a regional and Ray Morrison, 66 team leader will evaluate the vet as a potential bowtie candidate. good luck, mike

      Re: C2

In NCRS judging does the "Top Flight" continue with the serial number, or does each new owner stand on his own merit? I always wondered about this. Should I buy and pay extra for the top flight or buy a car that has never seen a judge?

        Lloyd,

The less you touch, the better it is.

As Mike says, have someone well versed in Judging look at the car, or better yet bring it to the closest Regional for an evaluation.

If you belong to a Chapter, you may be able to have a "tech session" for the members and have everyone look at the car.

          Jerry,
Judging in NCRS applies to the Corvette as, where is. It does not carry with the SN. After cars leave the judging field, there are no guarntees the car remains as it was on the field when judged. An NCRS disclaimer is printed on the back of every certificate stating this in effect. A car cannot be NCRS "Top Flight" unless it has been judged and received the award. Purchase of any Corvette should follow carefull inspection by the buyer to ascertain exactly what is represented is what you are buying.
