    C2 - 65-67 Instr. Cluster

I'm not sure if it can be done, but I'll give it a shot. Is there anyway to bench test any of the gauges in the instrument cluster(which is currently out of car)to check to see if working before installing? I understand that the speedo & tach are different stories but what about the rest?

Sorry, What I was wanting to know was how to test each gauge and what I should be looking for in results. Thanks...Rich

I realize what you are asking, but it is a little too involved to go into on the forum. All you really need to do is take a wiring diagram and mimic each circuit.

          Rich,

Wayne was correct when he stated that you could test each instrument by simulating the circuit. The problem is, the wiring diagram isn't the best source for this information. So, e-mail me your e-mail address and I will send to you a troubleshooting guide for the instruments. This guide has a much better description of the circuit and it explains the operations of each instrument.

For testing the oil pressure gauge, I used my air compressor. (Just make sure that you have the compressor set down to a very low reading first.)
