    1968 Soft Top Frame

I know some of the differences in soft top frames for mid-years, but I am clueless about 68 to 75 frames. Are there any differences? Are they completely interchangeable. What should I look for when trying to buy one? Any and all help appreciated.

    Thanks, Ed McGee

        Ed----

I believe that there may be some very subtle differences between the earlier and later versions of the C3 convertible top frame. However, as far as I know, they are all completely interchangeable. The primary thing to look for when purchasing one is the same thing that you have to look for on the 63-67 frames----RUST. Front bows may be rusted out or other bows may be rust-damaged. Most of these bows are available in reproduction, but they are expensive. The front bow sells for about $300.

The front latches are GM-discontinued, so make sure that the ones on any frame that you buy are good.
