At my last flight judging, the engine team immediately identified my valve covers as non original, exactly what are the noticeable differences to identify originals. What would be the best place to locate replacement, and what should I expect to pay?

Re: Valve covers
It would help if we knew what year, engine, etc.
Otherwise we're just guessing.

Re: Valve covers
Geeze,
That's too much like work!
Then I'd guess that either a) the covers are chrome (not available from the factory in 67) or b) they didn't have the correct visible weld marks from the oil drippers mounted to the inside.
Let's see if he agrees.
