I am in the process of converting my '56 from Powerglide to a manual BW T-10. The T-10 appears to be about 1/2" longer than the PG. This will limit the distance the driveshaft yoke can travel into the transmission by about the same amount of 1/2". I am concerned about the yoke "bottoming out" in the transmission whenever I drive over a bump on the road. Has anybody run into this situation before and should I have the driveshaft shortened to avoid any problems or would that be a waste of time and money?
Thanks
