Is there a difference between `68 -`72 Big Block / High Rise Hoods? I will be looking for one for a friend in England.

Re: BIG Block Hoods???

Yes, there are differences. Basically, there are 3 "iterations":
1) Most of 1968, except very late
2) Very late 1968 through very late 69 (about October, 1969)
3) Very late 1969 through 1972
The hoods can be interchanged if modifications and/or other hardware are also performed/replaced.In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Addendum
Gary-----
Also, the 72 hoods may be functionally different from the late 69-71 due to the difference in the hood supports used for 68-71 and 72-76. However, I'm not sure that the change in the hood supports also changed the mounting position/configuration of the hood support mounting flange. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: Addendum *TL*
Yes, the change in hood supports made the 1972 MY factory installed hoods different from the earlier hoods. The point at which the 1972 hood support bolted to the hood is lower (or further forward) than the earlier hoods. For a while the SERVICE hoods had nut plates and holes for both mounting locations. Thus the SERVICE hood became a fourth iteration.

Re: Addendum
Yep, and I've got one of those in my basement. Two nice mounting locations, factory installed.
