    C2 Sticking Carb

My 66 BB (L72) starts fine and seems to run well except for the throttle sticking after it warms up. I have found that after I drive for nearly 2 miles the idle will not return to 800 rpm when I push in the clutch and stop,it will stay where it was last running until I bump the gas pedal. I have checked the linkage and can find nothing binding. I am assuming that the internal carb linkage may be sticking after it heats up. Have any of you experienced this, and if so what remedy do you recomend?
    Thanks for the response,
    Pete

check to make sure the advance weights in the distributor are not sticking causing the timing to be advanced and causing you high idle speed.
