    66front hub

    Hi guys
The other day I had a front wheelbearing break and spin the bearing in the hub of my 66 smallblock. Hub is ruined as the bearing location is worn .040 to .060 oversize. I checked all the usual sources and find that no one has a hub for a 65-68 vette. Is this really such a hard part to find? Anyone know a source. I tried the really hardcore places, I think. Thanks in advance for your suggestions. Larry

    Rob,

Are you looking for a new or a used part?

Gary, Just a used one. I'm sure there may be a N.O.S. specimen around somewhere, but this is a driver and a good used part would be fine. Larry

          Larry,

I've had good luck with America's Finest Corvettes in So. Calif for good used suspension/steering parts for midyear cars. Their phone numer is (760) 789-8423

You might try the local bone yard. Some GM veicles of the same era had the same hub, less the holes for the rivets.

Cumberland is 2 hours west of Wash. D.C. and 2 hours east of Pittsburg, Pa. mike

That may be a little far from here. Just checked my shoe leather, and it's looking a little thin. I still thank you for the generous offer. It speaks well for the hobby, and for you. Larry
