Can someone send me a pic of the LH Vertical Ignition shield for a small block with power brakes so I can make sure I don't acquire the incorrect piece for my car? Thanks.

Re: C2 L79 LH Vertical Igntion Shield for PB
Joe,
I understand the LH vertical with power brakes has a pronounced dip inward to clear the booster but I would like a picture of a regular one and one with the dip since I have a chance to purchase one to make sure I get the correct one.
Thanks.....Jim- Top

Here is a pic of mine. I do not have a non-PB car with which to make a comparison, however.Attached Files- Top

I believe that the configuration of the left side vertical shield seen for your car is the same for all 64-67 Corvettes. Although some additional clearance is necessary for the power brake booster, this was designed into the part used for all cars. When you think about it, why would GM have used (and had manufactured)different shields for cars with power brakes and non-power brakes? Certainly, the shield for power brake cars would work on non-power brake cars and who would know the difference? The same thing was true for big block valve covers. All cars got the left side cover for the power brake booster relief whether or not they had power brakes. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Joe,
I agree with you completely. BTW I have had a great deal of enjoyment from the 1967 this summer. A real fun car even with the PowerGlide. My 1979 L-82 was a nice car but this one is just a real treat!- Top
