I am in the process of undoing what Bubba did long ago. My wiring is a mess. I pulled the instrument cluster the other evening and found a melted wire in the wiring harness behind the instrument cluster. After tracing the wire back to a large soldered junction I discovered that it is part of the accessory junction. It is not the main feed from the ingnition switch and I have checked everything else on the wiring diagram that is on that circuit. The wire used to be brown. The only thing I can't account for is the radio capacitor. Can anyone out there shed any light on what it is and where it should be? I am wondering if the wire or capitor melted. Also, what is the greed light that clips to the IP metal brace? The back pulls off of it and it accepts a light. What is it for? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
