    C1 Ignition Shielding

My '56 is a radio delete car. Should the car have ignition shielding even if not required for a radio delete car?

    Thanks

NO, the shielding is part of the U-69 radio package and is not installed unless the car is radio equipped

So how much could you sell original radio delete shielding for on e-bay? Sorry, no picture available.

            Tracy-----

No, he's into NOS Corvair parts now. Before that it was Z-28 Camaro and before that it was Corvette. Quick------anyone with NOS Corvair parts they want to get rid of get them on eBay right away before he moves on to something else.

Joe...you of all people should know that

The C1 radio delete ignition shielding was also installed on the Corvair as part of the decorative trim in the radiator bay. It served as a cover for the expansion tank as I remember...

Yup, the price just went to $2500. Wish I had a set to sell!!

                Re: C1 Ignition Shielding

Among all the fun and yuks, you might want to make darn sure your car was not radio equipped. A lot of '56 cars were so equipped, along with a load of other options that an owner may or may not have desired. It was part of the GM effort to displace the reputation that had been earned w/the 53/55 (s)hit boxes... DC
