Bonding glue for 1958 front clip?

I live in Australia where it is a little difficult buying early Corvette items. I am fitting a new front clip to my 1958 and need to know what bonding glue to use. I need to know the chemical composition or trade name so i can try and match it up with similar bonding glues down here. I know I can buy Ecklers Glue but it would save time if I could just find out what is in the glue and try to locate it locally. Thanks

Who made the front end? Is it a one piece hand layed, or an assembled from parts?

Judging by the description in your profile, it sounds like absolute purity is not a requirement. Therefore I would use a modern adhesive - easier to locate a local source, easier to apply, stronger bond. Look for autobody supplies and then brand names like Lord FUSOR, 3m Duramix, etc. You'll need to get the right formula number for the materials you are bonding. The only downside is each brand requires their own proprietary mixing gun to apply (US$50+). Or if you know somebody in the autobody business, maybe you can borrow...

Thanks, you are correct about my plan for this car and purity is not a consideration. I appreciate the tips on the adhesives you mentioned. This is a one piece front clip which goes right back to the windshield.

The reason I asked who made it, is that if it is a generic hand layed fiberglass front end, you can bond it with most any polyester material that is near the proper consistency. You do not need any exotics. If it is the Eckler/Image front, you will need a little better material. The epoxy based products that have been mentioned or very high quality polyester material.
