1971 Horn Button Emblem

Need some help with the the cross flag emblem colors on a 71.. The judging manual states that the top right square of the emblem is black on 70 and 72 cars ,but white on on 71,s. The emblem I was getting ready to install has a black top right square. I spoke to an owner of a 71 that purchased his car new and the top right square is black. He also informed me that his horn button has never been replaced. I don't know that this makes a difference but the serial number of the car I am working on is in the 1200 range. Anyone out their with a original 71 or someone that has some knowledge in this area your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Frank: My '71 serial # 15065 has the white color corner on horn button and is original. Because your car is an early one, it may have been a running change, not absolutely sure though.
