So, I want the best of both worlds.
I have an new old set of dated reproduction spark plug wires for my late 1970 big block Corvette. I purchased these years ago from Lectric Limited. Last year I found out that there are several things that are not 100% correct. I recently found out that I can get the current date plug wires from GM which are otherwise correct. Right?
Now, to get the best of both worlds, in need to use my dated wires with the shielded braids of the current GM supplies. Right? I need some tips to accomplish this small feat. How do I remove the braiding without mangling the wires? Ideally, I will end up with two sets of good wires, one totally correct for judging and the other perfect otherwise. (It's just like having set of radials and original bias ply tires.)
Thanks for any help.
Tony
