    Another 1972 LS5 tuning question

I have 250 miles on my rebuilt stock (except for a bump in compression to 9.5-1and a edelbrock q-jet carb new)LS5 engine. Here is my problem it idles fine but develops of miss arounf 1400-1900 rpms and then runs fine. X-pway driving no miss or rougness but city driving in that range stated above creates this miss or rough running. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

i would guess it is the tuning of the carb power piston spring, either it is too stiff and going to the rich stop too soon or too light and not going rich soon enought. also it could be that the power piston lean stop is set too low. you could try just turning the idle/air bleed screws both in and out to see what happens at the different settings
