C1 LOCATION OF PLUG WIRE CLIP

I am not sure which bolt on the oil pan the spark plug wire clip gets bolted to.It is the passenger side on my 1961.(2x4 carbs). I found the location of the driver's side. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Joe DeLuca #37862

The oil pan on my 1960 did not have one on either side and the oil pan is going back on rebuilt engine this week. Which bolt was the driver side clip under? Would it be the same for the passenger side? I hope you get a response that helps both of us.

      Gentelmen,
While I can't tell you which screw it from the front or rear, when you have the clip in the correct position, the wires will rub against the block drain plug on each side. One screw further foward and the original length wires will be too short. Pay attention to the arangement in the AIM of the wires on the cap as well, since there is not any room for error if you are using the original length wires. The General did not waste an inch of wire!

John is right, if the clip and wires argue with the hex block drain plug, you have it in the correct position. Now, paint it orange. Dennis
