I have a one piece adhesive lable that is supposed to be the jacking instructions for my 1978 Silver Anniversay Vette. The judging manual states it should be displayed under the passenger side rear storage compartment door. The underside of that compartment door is not smooth but sectional and looks like unfinished fiber glass. The jacking instructions sticker does not seem to go there as it is not a smooth or flat surface. Is my compartment door not original or do I have the wrong jacking instruction label? Steve

Re: 1978 Jacking Instructions
Steve, my top flight SA has the original label on the passenger side compartment door as the TM&JG describes. The label is stuck over the door rib and is not flat. I have seen some cars where the label has been neatly cut in half and placed on either side of the rib, but I don't think it was done that way in St. Louis. I think they just slapped it on the door underside so don't worry if you don't get it centered or straight.
