The guage was restored by Rogers Instraments and reads oppisite from what it shouldindicate. When on empty it shows well below empty, when on full it shows just up on the 'E'. Could the prongs on the back of the guage be installed backwards where the harness plugs into it,giving the oppisite indication? I hooked a new sending unit up outside the tank to the wiring harness to operate the guage. Thanks Phil Anderson

Re: 1967 fuel guage
Phil,
Simply call Roger about which wires connect where. He is a professional engineer with a specialization in instramentation who has lots of patience and understanding for those of us who are in a hurry to piece it back together. OR, check your wiring diagrams in the AIM.

Re: 1967 fuel guage
Wayne, thanks for responding to my post. The sending unit is a NOS unit. When you turn the power off the needle doesn't move.It only moves when you operate the float up and down, and then only from the top of the "E" to way below the "E" with the power on. It also operates oppisite direction from the travel of the float. Thanks Phil- Top
