    Vermont’s Precision Valley Corvette Museum

While traveling in the Granite State we revisited this quaint Springfield, Vt. Corvette attraction. Now a restored functioning 1950’s stainless diner has been added. It is open and serving the typical fare of burgers, fries, etc.

Just by serendipity while driving North on Rt. 5 we located one of the only 3 functioning drive-in theaters in the state of Vermont. This unique attraction in Fairlee, Vt. is called the Fairlee Motel & Drive-In Theater.

Our traveling Corvette survey yielded no C1’s, one C2, five C3’s, four C4’s and two C5’s. Not many Corvettes in Vt. or N.H.

PS New Hampshire is very scenic also. If your nice, I'll show you the pictures from Lake Winnipesaukee.

    Geoffrey-----

Now, that's my kind of place and in my kind of country. It'll be a destination for me the next time I'm in New England. By the way, who's that suspicious looking gal in one of the pictures? I think that I may have seen her on an FBI poster in the post office. The soda jerk, I recognize. He's been lurking around the east for years. He can't keep a job in any diner, but he never stops trying----he loves the work. I'm told he keeps an office at Carlisle Fairgrounds; that's where potential diner owners contact him.

Nice pics Geoffrey! Thanks! My better half and I always enjoy touring in New England. Never caught this spot yet. Will bookmark it. Can't agree more about New Hampshire. Love the White Mountain area. For a couple of transplanted Yankees (NJ raised) living in Texas for 25 years now getting back to that neck of the woods is always nice.

Fairlee Motel & Drive-In Theater, now....

that's an idea that would have kept more drive-in theaters on the map for sure.

          Re: Doc —

In 1948-50, I was a soda jerk in the local drugstore. Old-fashioned marble and stainless steel Bastion-Blessing fountain. Cokes were 5¢; soda 25¢; shakes were 30¢. Cones were expensive - 10¢/dip. Of course, we used Lady Borden ice cream (50¢/pt, even then) and Whitman's chocolate. I was paid 75¢/hour for 20 hrs/week while in high school.

Nevermind those plastic terds, did you see any Dodge Trucks? They're worth looking at.

I recognize that soda jerk. He was serving libations in a green bottle at Carlisle this year. Thanks Doc.
