For those members who family or home have been effected by the storm, I would like to express my concern and offer any help that you all might need...not sure exactly what I could do, but if there is something let me know via the board. I just got out of a business meeting and I am amazed how far spreading the flooding and destruction is...I hope first of all your family is safe and hope your cars stayed dry!

Re: Isabel effect on Membership
pretty nasty storm (I'm in central virginia). we had no damage to our house or cars, but a fellow around the block had a tree fall on his '65 Chevy pickup. it about broke my heart to see it, but better that than the house or family. Another guy had 6 or 7 large oaks fall on a his small lot (1/4 to 1/3 acre) - not one of them hit his house or cars. If any of them had fallen in any other direction there would have been major damage.- Top

I'm in the Richmond, VA area, and a very large oak tree fell on my house, and when I first looked at it thought "oh no"! It was resting on the garage portion right over where the "62" calls home. Roof held up, Vet fine!! Phewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!- Top

Re: Isabel effect on Membership
Well it make a dent in Maryland. I had spruce tree (original Xmas tree) when we moved into our house 33 years ago and it split and fell on the front of the house garage (64 lives here). Lucky for me only damaged the gutter and missed my daughter's 55 Chevy in the driveway. Needless to say this block the driveway, but my neightbor and fellow NCRS member, Chuck Gongloff came over before I arrived home from vacation to cut it up and clear my driveway. Another Ash split and fell on my sunroom and house, but no car damage. I had originally felt safe from hurricanes in Maryland, but will have to re-think this.- Top
